Pomodoro Study Timer

Study in focused blocks with short breaks in between. Set your study minutes, break minutes and number of sessions, then start the countdown and stay on track.

What Is a Pomodoro Study Timer?

The Pomodoro technique is a simple way to study: work with full focus for a set number of minutes, take a short break, and repeat. This timer counts down each study block and break for you, and shows which session you are on.

How to Use It — Step by Step

  1. Enter your study minutes (15 to 60), break minutes (5 to 15) and number of sessions (1 to 8).
  2. Press Make My Study Plan to see your session plan.
  3. Press Start on the timer. It counts down your study session, then switches to a break, then to the next session.
  4. Use Pause to stop the countdown and Reset to start over.

Worked Example

With 25-minute study sessions, 5-minute breaks and 4 sessions, you get 100 minutes of focused study time in a total of 115 minutes. That is the classic Pomodoro setup — short enough to stay focused, long enough to make real progress.

No. The timer runs in your browser on this page, so keep the page open while you study.

Is this timer free?
