What Is a Library Book Tracker?
A library book tracker records which book a student borrowed, when it was issued and when it must be returned. The standard loan period used here is 14 days, and the tracker shows how many days are left — or how many days overdue a book is.
How to Use It — Step by Step
- Enter the book title and the student name.
- Enter the issue date.
- Leave the return due date blank to use 14 days after the issue date, or enter a different due date.
- Press Track Book. The due date and status (days left or overdue) appear instantly and are also checked on the server.
Worked Example
A book issued on 1 October with the standard 14-day loan is due on 15 October. If today is 12 October, the book is due in 3 days. If today is 17 October, it is overdue by 2 days.
FAQs
How long is the standard loan period?
This tracker uses 14 days by default. If your library uses a different period, enter the due date yourself.
What does “overdue” mean?
Overdue means the return due date has passed and the book has not been returned yet. The tracker shows how many days overdue it is.
Is this tracker free?
Yes, it is completely free and needs no sign-up. Nothing you enter is saved — it is only used to calculate the result on this page.
